For recruitment partners

You have the operators. We have the candidates.

TeachPath sources qualified Early Childhood Teachers from the UK. If you are filling ECT roles in Australia and the domestic pool is dry, we can supply people you cannot currently reach.

50/50 on the fee you invoice the client.

We do not set your rate and we do not see your client agreement. You bill the operator whatever you normally bill. We take half of what you collect, on the same terms you collect it.

  • No exclusivity
  • No minimum volume
  • No retainer
  • Nothing payable if the placement does not complete

Division of labour

Where the line sits.

We do

  • Source UK candidates
  • Verify qualifications and ACECQA equivalence
  • Check the DfE prohibition register
  • Run a recorded screening call
  • Confirm availability and genuine commitment to relocating
  • Support the candidate through visa timing and relocation logistics

You do

  • Own the operator relationship
  • Present the candidate
  • Run your own process
  • Make the introduction and manage the interview
  • Invoice the client

Why this adds to your pipeline

January 2024 turned UK teachers into a supply line.

Since January 2024, childcare work has been exempt from the six-month same-employer cap on the Working Holiday Visa. A UK teacher can hold a role for twelve months, renew for a second year, and move to sponsorship from there. Most of the market has yet to adjust to that change.

The domestic ECT pool is not going to expand. Britain trains more Early Years teachers than it retains, and a meaningful number of them are actively looking to leave.

The candidates

What you will be presenting.

Qualifications

  • PGCE Early Childhood with QTS
  • PGCE Primary with QTS plus Early Years experience
  • B.Ed Early Childhood
  • Teachers in their first two years after qualifying

Practicalities

All hold UK passports and are aged 21 to 35, which is the 417 visa requirement. Availability ranges from immediate to one term’s notice, and we tell you which before you present anybody.

Mechanics

The five things you will want settled first.

When is the split payable?

When you get paid. We invoice you on your collection, not on the placement date, so you never fund our half out of your own working capital.

Who carries the replacement guarantee?

We do, on our half. If a candidate we supplied leaves within 180 days we source a replacement at no additional cost to you.

Whatever guarantee you have given your client remains yours to honour, and we support it.

Who owns the candidate relationship?

We do, up to introduction. After that it becomes a three-way conversation and we stay in it, because relocation questions continue after the contract is signed and your consultants will not want to field them at 11pm UK time.

What about candidate data?

TeachPath is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Candidate details are shared with you anonymously first.

Names, CVs and contact details are released only with the candidate’s explicit consent, on a named-client basis.

Do you place directly as well?

Yes, with operators we have sourced ourselves. We will never bring you a candidate we are simultaneously putting in front of one of your clients, and if you flag an operator as yours, it is yours.

Who we are looking for

Early childhood specialist agencies with real operator relationships in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, and no international sourcing pipeline of their own.

Who we are not

If you already run UK candidate acquisition, we would only be competing for the same people and there is nothing here for you.

Send us a role you cannot fill.

Tell us what it is and where, and we will come back with candidate summaries or tell you honestly that we have nobody suitable.

Or message William directly on WhatsApp.
